What is SMS?
SMS stands for Short Message Service and is the standard by which all phones send and receive text messages. 'Text Messages' and 'SMS' are often used synonymously. Standard text messages are limited in size to 160 characters.
What is a Short Code?
It's a 5 or 6 digit abbreviated phone number that carriers assign to businesses that want to send text messages over their network. Consumers can text HELP to the short code to find out more abut the business and the program. Short Code programs have to be individually approved by each wireless carrier. This prevents spammers and marketers from sending unsolicited messages into their networks.
Do my customers get charged to receive text messages?
Not from us - and most wireless carriers include text messaging with their service plans. However, consumers may be charged 10-20 cents if text messaging is not included in their wireless service plan.
What Is A Keyword?
Keywords allow your customers to interact with your services, to receive on demand information, e.g business locations, todays specials, on demand coupons, or join mailing list, etc. A Keyword is a short word that identifies your campaigns. For example: 'Text Club to 27285 to receive weekly specials.'; 'Club' is a keyword in this case.
How Long Can Text Messages Be?
A standard text message is limited to 160 characters. Characters means letters, numbers, spaces, symbols and punctuation.
What Does It Mean To Opt-Out?
Opt-out allow customers to stop receiving messages from shortcode. Customer can text "STOP" to 27285 to stop any messages coming from your service.
How Often Can I Send New Promotions or Messages To My Subscriber Lists?
The Mobile Marketing Association recommends no more than 2 per week. However, we don't limit you as long as you're sending messages to opted-in customers only.

MMT places ads on both our own text message search and alert messages, as well as placing ads on text messages published by our partners.
What does it take to set up?
Simply contact our sales team to set up a campaign. Select your target audience, your call to action, and your advertising will start immediately.
How much does it cost?
Our advertising is sold on a CPH, or cost per hundred impressions basis. The CPH price varies depending on the content channel and the volume of your campaign.
Is there a minimum time commitment?
No. You can purchase advertising for one day or one year – it's up to you.
Do I have control over where my ads appear?
Yes, to an extent. We offer a variety of targeting options that allow you to select the specific audience that will see your advertising. However we can't show you the content that will appear with your ad in advance.
What kind of response rate should I expect?
Response rates are highly dependent on your campaign specifics. That said, we've had campaigns with as high as 30% click through rate, with an average closer to 2%.
How do consumers find MMT's services?

Can I target my ad to a specific audience?

What if the Barcode doesn’t scan?
If the barcode doesn’t scan, kindly ask the cashier to key in the barcode numbers or coupon code. Cashiers already do this for coupons that people print off from the internet that don’t scan.

There is no cost to merchants to put their downloadable coupons on CellsCoupon. Go to www.cellscoupon.com and setup an account and start listing your coupons immediately.
How do I get my coupons off of CellsCoupon?

What is CellsCoupon?
With CellsCoupon merchants are able to reach shoppers with money saving coupons on their mobile devices. CellsCoupon is the mobile version of printable coupons, only without the paper.
How does it work?
